Collaboration, creativity, communication and critical thinking are essential needs for today's student to be successful in a professional world and many times, teachers struggle with how to actually "teach" these skills. This presentation will show you how collaboration between the library media specialist and ELA teacher, this is possible by incorporating problem based learning into the curriculum. Through the use of close reading, coding and Hummingbird robot kits, students are taking learning into their own hands and demonstrate the 4 C's that are so critical to student success.
