Michael Bett is currently directing and was instrumental in creating the METALS (Master of Educational Technology and Applied Learning Science) program at Carnegie Mellon University. He served as Managing Director for Pittsburgh Science of Learning Center (LearnLab). LearnLab is a multinational multi-university center with a research focus on how to make learning more effective and efficient. While LearnLab was funded by NSF for $48M, Michael oversaw over 200 faculty, staff and students from wide array of disciplines and managed between 30 and 40 projects a year. LearnLab is now part of the Simon Initiative at Carnegie Mellon University.
